Nikki Rickard is a registered psychologist and Research Director in the Centre for Wellbeing Science in the Faculty of Education at the University of Melbourne. Her research explores the social and emotional benefits of music engagement, which have proven to be potent catalysts for personal growth, self-expression and social connection. She also harnesses digital technologies to create wellbeing interventions that are safe, inclusive, empowering and effective. She is on the Music Victoria Board, is the Founding Director of digital wellbeing company, MoodPrism, and has held offices as President of AMPS and APSCOM, and co-Editor-in-Chief of the Springer journal Psychology of Wellbeing.
