Composing Careers: Developing strategies to rethink career burnout
It is tough being in the helping industries at the moment. Those in the professions are at real risk of burning out, and leaving entirely.
In this professional development workshop, participants will be introduced to some fun and powerful strategies to reframe the ways they see themselves in their careers. By learning strategies from arts-based research, including poetic inquiry, participants will begin reimagining and reconceptualising their professional identities. They will then learn how these reflections can be used to create their own soundtrack to their careers.
This professional development project seeks to change the narrative around career shock and burnout and move towards optimism by harnessing the transformative potential of poetry and songwriting.
