We invite you to attend a one-day virtual conference hosted by the Australian Music & Psychology Society on 9 October 2020. The event will run 10:00-16:30, AEST.
The vision of this meeting is to present a cutting-edge forum for those wishing to share ideas and meet others with common interests in music and psychology research. Formal presentations will be 10-minutes in duration, prepared in video format, uploaded and made available to delegates 7 days before the event through our LMS platform. During the conference, live breakout rooms will be used for longer discussion sessions between presenters and delegates to expand on the video material viewed in advance.
This event is being organized by a conference committee comprising AMPS Committee members.

Abstracts are to be no more than 200 words and outline the research question or focus, the context for the work, any results or hypothesised outcomes of a prospective project and conclusions.
We are keen to support submissions that report on:
- Completed projects (e.g., sharing findings)
- Works in progress (e.g., PhD students, post-confirmation, reporting on work underway)
- Discussion/ Position papers
Submissions will be grouped according to themes:
- Social and applied approaches to music (including well-being)
- Music perception and cognition
- Music performance
- Musical development
